KMEA is pleased to make available to our members, an Equipment Loan Program, which provides members access to equipment resources that allows members to anticipate, prepare, and troubleshoot electrical systems.

KMEA has three infrared cameras.  These cameras detect electrical hot spots, which can translate into big savings for cities by extending the life of equipment and preventing costly equipment damage.  It also reduces the possibility of personal injury for customers and workers.  Additionally, by helping to prevent power outages, the cameras enhance customer experience.  KMEA also offers a load monitor, which records load patterns and identifies distortions in the wave-form cycle.  This analysis can help pinpoint the sources of electrical problems.

The infrared cameras or load monitor can be scheduled by contacting Gerry Bieker at (913)660-0239 or bieker@kmea.com
