Marshall

KMEA entered into a 20-year power purchase agreement for 7 MW with Marshall Wind Energy LLC on February 2, 2016. The wind farm is located in Marshall County, Kansas, and has an installed capacity of 72 MW. KMEA’s first renewable wind energy resource, Marshall Wind provides renewable energy to four EMP1 cities. The facility began providing power to KMEA members on March 22, 2016. In 2024 total energy delivered to the participating cities was 29,626 MWh.
