Electric Utility Director
The City of Russell is seeking professional and community-oriented individuals for a full-time Electric Utility Director position.

The Electric Utility Director, under the general supervision of the City Manager, plans, directs, coordinates, and supervises the activities of the Electric Department, including the production and distribution of electricity and maintenance and administrative activities as established by policy. The Electric Utility Director is responsible for the operation and maintenance of generation, distribution, substations, metering, engineering, and project management. This individual must have in-depth experience in all operation phases to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations to maximize customer service and reliability.
This applicant is required to have a Bachelor of Science degree in business, electrical engineering, or a related field from a four-year accredited college or university and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in a responsible electric generation and distribution management position, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Applicant must and have a valid Kansas Driver’s License. Applicants must also establish residency in the City of Russell 6 months from hire date. Pre-employment drug screening and job placement assessment are required. Position pay range is $90,000.00 to $105,000, based on qualifications and experience.
