Meet Philip Fortner: KMEA’s New System Operator

We’re excited to welcome Philip Fortner to the KMEA team as our newest System Operator! Hailing from Baton Rouge, Philip brings a background in industrial operations and holds a degree in Process Technology from ITI Technical College. Before joining KMEA, he worked as a power plant operator, gaining valuable experience in energy systems and plant operations.

Outside of work, Philip enjoys a mix of hobbies that keep him active and engaged. He’s a dedicated baseball fan, often attending games and collecting baseball cards, and he also has a green thumb—growing his own blueberries and blackberries at home.

We’re thrilled to have Philip on board and look forward to the expertise and enthusiasm he brings to our operations team!
