KMEA Meets in Wamego
This month’s KMEA Executive Committee meeting was held in the City of Wamego, Kansas.
During the meeting, the April 2026 appropriations report was presented, and Resolution 246 was approved. Staff also provided updates across several key areas, including regulatory affairs, operations, member services, Mid-States activities, and power supply.
Following the meeting, attendees toured the Solar Turbines facility in Wamego, a subsidiary of Caterpillar that assembles gas turbines. The visit offered valuable insight into the plant’s operations and the role this facility plays in the success of both the industry and the City of Wamego.
