The Kansas Municipal Energy Agency (KMEA) is pleased to announce several key staff changes effective January 4, 2025, following the retirement of Gerry Bieker in December. These changes are aimed at continuing to enhance our member services and electric operations.
Member Services
Tyson McGreer has been promoted from Manager of Member Services to Director of Member Services. In his new role, Tyson will also take on additional duties related to information technology and other administrative functions, including insurance.
Electric Operations
We are proud to announce the promotion of Tom Saitta to Managing Director, Electric Operations. Paul Lampe will move laterally into Tom’s former position as Director, Electric Operations. With over 75 years of combined experience in operations, our team, including John Seck and the 24/7 operators, is well-equipped to continue delivering exceptional service.
Regulatory and Rates
Terri Pemberton will now oversee the Regulatory and Rates area. Darren Prince, currently Manager of Regulatory & Rates, will report to Terri. Included in the 2025 budget is a new position of Rates Analyst, who will report to Darren. This new position serves the growing needs of the members, particularly with rate and budget review along with rate design.
These changes reflect our commitment to staying in touch with our members and ensuring we meet their growing needs. We are confident that these adjustments will position us for continued growth and success.
