A new software tool is now available to KMEA member cities who are currently participating in Energy Management Projects 1, 2, and 3. This new software program is known as Glance. Glance is a program that allows our member cities to visually see critical details about the status of their electricity operations. Parameters such as load, generation runs, power factors, tie MW and MVARS, and even pricing points are all displayed in an intuitive manner that allows our members to easily interact with the data. Glance also incorporates several other useful features, such as the ability to compile and archive past data, allow users to change the time span of data available, create visual trends and graphs on the fly, and export data points into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
Glance is also mobile device friendly. It is compatible with smart phones, tablets, laptops, etc. This allows our members to have access to Glance whether they are out in the field, in the office, or in the control room. Glance is a major improvement over its predecessor, RT Webparts. KMEA is very excited to offer this incredibly useful tool to our members.
