KMA Virtual Board of Directors meeting was held this morning. We had 38 member cities participating in the meeting. The Board took action to adopt the 2022 Annual Budget and elected Officers, At-Large Executive Committee and Joint Board members. The Board also adopted a resolution that consents the addition of Minneapolis to KMEA’s membership.
The 2020 and 2021 Award recipients were announced during the meeting. Richard Nienstedt from the City of Ottawa and Mike Muirhead were the recipients of the GILBERT HANSON JR. Outstanding Service Award. Greg DuMars from the City of Lindsborg and Dennis Tharp from the City of Ottawa were the recipients of the MAX H. EMBREE Distinguished Service Award. John Wagerle from the City of Sterling and Manny Milbers from the City of Beloit were the recipients of the Dedicated Commitment to Service Award.
