Laurie Brock has joined KMEA as the Director of Finance and Accounting. She began her career directly out of college in the public utility industry with Missouri Public Service in Raytown, Missouri, gaining experience in the areas of accounting, finance, mergers/acquisitions and risk management as it grew from MoPub into UtiliCorp United and finally Aquila. Laurie ended her career in Accounting/Finance at Independence Power & Light in Independence, Missouri in 2019. “Only Paul Mahlberg and KMEA” could have convinced her to come out of retirement, and she very much looks forward to contributing to the success of this special organization.
