KMEA / Mid-States Maintenance Program

KMEA / Mid-States has started providing a maintenance program for our membership.  Preventative Maintenance is important because equipment in service suffers from wear and tear that will lead to failure and this program will help minimize equipment failure and prevent extended outages. The ultimate goal is to keep equipment in optimal working order to improve its reliability and increase its useful life.

Quick overview of the program

  • Review the maintenance program a member already has in place
  • Take an inventory of the equipment in all locations
  • Set up maintenance on breakers, batteries and chargers, relays, reclosers, transformers, and LTC’s
  • Customize maintenance program for each location
  • Create an inventory of equipment and a maintenance schedule
  • Identify maintenance checklists and procedures
