Journeyman Electric Lineman
The City of Eudora Electric Department is accepting applications for a Journeyman Lineman. This position performs skilled work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical distribution systems including both overhead and underground and secondary line construction. Applicants must possess certification of Journeymen Lineman, have knowledge of construction methods of overhead and underground construction. Along with an understanding of materials and tools used in Power line construction and maintenance as applied to distribution overhead and underground. Minimum qualifications include a CDL Class A with air brake. Graduation from high school or possession of a GED, with completion of a four-year apprentice or merchant program and hold a journeyman lineman certificate issued by the Department of Labor. Salary range: $30.00 – $36.00/hour, pending qualifications and experience. Hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
