The 2023 Golf Outing and Joint EMP meeting took place on June 7th and 8th in Salina, KS. We had 29 golfers participate in the Golf Outing at Lindsborg Golf Club.
On Thursday morning prior to the Joint EMP meeting some members toured the Sunbelt Solomon Transformer Facility in Solomon, KS.
The Joint EMP meeting was well attended. Members were able to learn more about infrastructure grant opportunities through the KCC for municipals with Lynn Retz from KCC. Members were also updated on present power supply projects and opportunities by Neal Daney from KMEA. Matthew Scott from ChargePoint talked about charging stations. Tom Saitta from KMEA gave a presentation about the 2022 Market Monitor Report and SPP Accreditation Outlook, and Terri Pemberton, KMEA General Counsel gave an update on regulatory and special projects.
